Collaborative work on electric aircraft battery electrolytes published in Joule.
Our collaborative work on high-performance electrolytes for electric aircraft batteries has been published in Joule.
This study presents an Omics-enabled approach to electrolyte discovery, systematically tracking the reactivity of electrolyte components and quantitatively apportioning interphase chemistry. By understanding how subtle changes to the electrolyte lead to non-trivial changes to the interphase, we demonstrate enhanced oxidative stability and stable cycling performance.
The work highlights the potential of data-driven electrolyte engineering for next-generation aviation batteries.
